My sister thinks she has impetigo. She’s had it before and went a week without realizing and I didn’t get it. But I’m scared I will and I start school in a week and don’t want to catch it. How do I stop my self from getting it or do I need to if I never got it last time?

Impetigo is caused by Staph aureus. The lesions will secrete a seruous looking fluid that is very contagious. Would highly suggest that she keep aways from others, wash her bed linens, towels, anything that she comes in contact with in hot water with a bit of bleach. When she clears up, throw away those items.
Do not use anything she has used. Hopefully she has been to the doctor to get treated for that.
