Ahhhh, so im on Roaccutane and all is well, untill – whats this developing from nothing in 3 days, impetigo. From my reasearch i’m supposed to be 9 years old and playing/eating dirt to get it 
Anyone else had this? Whats best way to treat it in early stages?…im getting the cream nd stuff tmorro (great having 2 doctor parents) but untill them im scare its going to engulf my whole face.

Impetigo is caused by Staph. aureus. Topical creams and ointments really don’t work very well. The best thing is to be put on a course of antibiotics and take all of it. If impetigo keeps recurring, you need to get a skin culture and perhaps a nasal culture to see where it’s hiding out and what antibiotic is most effective in treating it. Staph causes all sorts of very nasty infections, not just impetigo. Examples are cellulitis (often occurs in conjunction with Strep A), boils, carbuncles, sties, urinary tract infections, etc.
