how is the bacteria from impetigo on surfaces killed ?

I work in housekeeping for a developemental center for children. There has been 3 cases of impetigo in the last 2 weeks. as a housekeeper, how do we stop/ kill the bacteria that is on all the surfaces these children have touched?

Wipe all hard surfaces down with solution of 1 part bleach to 10 parts water…. it’s amazingly effective. Wash any cloth in hot water and dry on hottest setting. If the areas have removable carpeting, take them to get cleaned. If they don’t, you need to have someone come in and steam-clean the carpet. I hope to god the head of the daycare isn’t letting these kids come to day care while they have impetigo.. that’s freaking gross… those kids need to be at home until they get better and stop spreading their nasty germs around.
